    Design For Live

There is something inherently thrilling about live sound. The immediacy of the direct interaction between the performers and the audience, the potential for anything to happen, the need to get it right first time – this is what makes live mixing so addictive. As the demands for more and more I/O and increasingly complex systems grow, there’s a danger of concentrating on the technology rather than the performance. Our design goal for dLive was to create the ultimate mixing system, with plenty of processing and flexibility to handle the most demanding live scenarios, while at the same time giving the engineer intuitive tools to comfortably keep all that power at their fingertips, freeing them to focus on the live mixing experience.

    Quick Overview

AR2412 is the Main AudioRack for the GLD digital mixing system.

AR2412 provides 24 XLR inputs and 12 XLR outputs when connected to a GLD-80 or GLD-112 mixer. Connection is over Cat5 cable running Allen & Heath’s dSNAKE protocol, allowing the AR2412 to be positioned up to 120m from the mixer. dSNAKE provides control to the remote preamp, and all mic preamps are scene recallable. For larger systems, an AR84 or AB168 AudioRack can be connected to the AR2412 to add up to 16 further XLR inputs and 8 XLR outputs. AR2412 also includes an Aviom® Pro16 compatible Monitor port.

    FIXED AND MODULAR SURFACES

    Content Conditional

There are no less than 7 Surfaces to choose from. These are simply a controller for the MixRack but also provide local inputs and outputs at the mix position. All models feature a touchscreen, name and colour virtual ‘write-on’ strips, banks of motorised faders with independent layers, SoftKeys, built-in headphones, local monitor and talkback. All offer the same control, the difference being the number of faders and a reduced rotary control section for the smaller models. Each bank of faders has 4 or 6 layers providing between 72 and 176 control strips depending on the Surface size.

    PERSONAL MIXER

“The configuration is flexible and can grow

and change with your needs. With 16

configurable keys, the unit is capable of mixing

40 inputs, a feature that blew away our reviewer.”

The ME-1 Personal Mixer puts the musician in control of their own monitor mix. Each performer can be given a tailored setup that works perfectly for them, whether they crave maximum control over the fine details of their mix or just want the minimum of keys to press. Operation is intuitive and elegant, with simple controls, clear visual feedback and custom naming for instant familiarity.

XB-142 incorporates new features and styling based on feedback from the many broadcasters who have built their operations around the original XB-14. With a wealth of routing options, dual stereo channels for up to 7 stereo sources, and the addition of a dedicated Audition bus, enhanced microphone preamps and stereo channel gain range, XB-142 satisfies the demands of small radio and internet broadcasters as well as larger studios with multiple rooms. With no less than 27 logic I/O for remote control and 15 configuration switches, XB-142 is a highly flexible solution.
