    Quick Overview

Building upon the acclaimed Fader Series of studio monitors, Fluid Audio now announces the new FPX (Fader Pro Coax) line of monitors, with the FPX7 leading the way.

Featuring beefed-up Class AB amplifiers, a performance toroidal transformer for superior noise characteristic, optimized composite cone woofers and AMT tweeters, the FPX7 produces the most accurate monitoring experience in its price range.  With its lightning fast response, the AMT tweeter provides detail and depth only seen in Professional studios.

    Quick Overview

The Fader Series FX8 studio reference monitor was born out of trying to solve one big problem: How do you make an 8″ 2-way monitor that isn’t 15″ tall!  In a studio environment (and more so in a home studio), when you put something that tall on a mixing console, it tends to obstruct the view in front of you. Then what ends up happening is you put these huge monoliths on their side (to reduce the height) and speaker imaging gets skued because the high frequency energy is bouncing off the surface they’re sitting on. Not to mention, what was the vertical off-axis response is now the horizontal off-axis response, minimizing your sweet spot in the listening position. Another compromise! We solved this by creating a Coaxial 2-way design (or dual concentric), with the tweeter mounted in the center of the woofer. We were always impressed by the Manley Tannoy speakers that used a coax driver – we just wanted to do it less expensivelyThere are two huge benefits to this.  One, you can shrink the cabinet height. As mentioned above, it’s not optimum to have huge, clumsy speakers on your console…and most 2-ways are so tall, that the tweeter is firing over your head anyway, then you have to tilt them down… and that notion is kind of scary.

    Quick Overview

The F5 studio monitor is the model that started it all for Fluid Audio. When we decided to enter this market, we wanted to address many of the issues found with monitors at this price point. We didn’t realize that so many others would want the very same thing!

While it is often referred to as a “budget” monitor, the F5 brings a lot of technology and value to the table. The amplifier rear panel has not only XLR and TRS inputs for more professional applications, we have also included an RCA input for more “consumer friendly” applications. The amplifier has a generous heat sink for long mixing sessions. Most monitors have their amp heat sinks inside the cabinet where all the heat is generated and cannot escape. The F5 amplifier ICs are mounted directly to the heat sink, so heat can transmit harmlessly away from the drivers and internal circuitry. The amp also has something no other monitor in it’s class can boast – A standby circuit that shuts down the amp after 20 mins of non use. This may not seem like much of a feature, but we are all concerned with being “green” and conserving energy in this day and age. This is our small contribution.

    Quick Overview

The Fluid Audio F4 is the perfect entry level near-field monitor for the aspiring musician or seasoned pro. That’s not to say this is not a professional monitor, however. The same amount of time and expertise that was behind our bigger, more expensive speakers was invested in the F4 as well. Great imaging, clear articulate midrange and ample bass that doesn’t muddy up the vocals. That is the hallmark of the Fluid Audio sound, and will help you pinpoint exactly what you want to create in your audio landscape.

Being the smallest of the family has its advantages, too… like convenience. Its compact size allows for flexible placement, whether you’re mixing your album on a smaller console or video editing on a small desk – you get professional studio sound quality.

    Quick Overview

The Classic Series C5 studio monitor from Fluid Audio redefines the sound quality of a “budget” studio  monitor. Having more than 23 years designing speakers, it’s somewhat easy to design great sounding monitors using expensive components and unique, “space age” materials.  What we set out to do was more of a challenge: Create an extraordinary sounding studio monitor – using just ordinary, “classic” technologies and components.  No Beryllium…No Titanium…just proven technologies and components put together to sound great… and at an attractive price point. With TRS and RCA inputs and 40 watts of total power, the C5 is perfect for any desk top monitoring application.

    Quick Overview

C5BT is an affordable Bluetooth enabled monitor, and like it’s big brother the BT5, also uses the newest CSR BT 4.0 technology with aptX® support.  aptX® has revolutionized the Bluetooth® Stereo listening experience by significantly reducing the bit rate without affecting audio quality or introducing latency issues. With a bit-rate of 384 kbit/s @ 16/48kHz, the aptX audio codec source material is transparently delivered over the Bluetooth link, whether it is stored uncompressed or in an alternative compression (MP3, AAC, FLAC) format.

The C5BT features a 5-inch low frequency transducer and a 1-inch PEI diaphragm tweeter mounted to a specially designed waveguide to create a better off-axis response.
