Whether you monitor at low or high volume, the Focal Alpha Twin Evo active dual 6.5″ studio monitor delivers the same sound profile, making it a valuable reference tool for tracking, mixing, DJing, and broadcast applications. Compared to monitors in the original Alpha Series, the Evo line offers Slatefiber in place of polyglass material for the woofers, a new cabinet design, a third input jack, and a defeatable automatic standby mode.

The combination of the updated cabinet, two 6.5″ Slatefiber woofers, 1″ aluminum inverted dome tweeter, and three Class-D amplifiers allows the Alpha Twin Evo to produce neutral, distortion-free tone across its 38 Hz to 22 kHz frequency response. Use the onboard 2-band EQ to alter the sonic performance according to room eccentricities as well as personal preference. Since the Alpha Twin Evo is designed with the bass ports below the woofer-tweeter-woofer speaker configuration, the monitor should be placed horizontally on stands, a workstation, or your console’s meter bridge.

Dual 6.5″ Cone Woofers

The Alpha Twin Evo’s dual 6.5″ Slatefiber cone woofers are manufactured in France using recycled nonwoven carbon fibers and thermoplastic polymer to deliver sonically neutral sound with no distortion.

1″ Tweeter

An aluminum inverted dome tweeter contributes to wide dispersion, enabling the same sound to be maintained throughout the entire room.

Consistent Sound Profile

Producing identical tonal balance at both low and high volume, the Alpha Twin Evo is a reliable reference monitor.

Three Inputs

Balanced XLR, 1/4″ TRS, and unbalanced RCA input jacks on the rear panel allow the Alpha Twin Evo to properly interconnect with all types of output sources such as monitor controllers, audio interfaces, and mixers.

Class-D Amplifiers

In terms of amplification, this full analog monitor is equipped with three Class-D amplifiers whose high-current capacity allows full control of the signal dynamics.

Sturdy Cabinet

The Alpha Twin Evo features a 5/8″ thick MDF cabinet and internal braces to ensure it is highly robust even at the highest levels of acoustic pressure.

Large Laminar Ports

A bass-reflex design is used to ensure easy acoustic integration in even the most cramped spaces. Rounded contours and interesting side panels create an appearance which contributes to a harmonious signature across the Focal collections.
