Wireless Instrument Microphone System for Saxophone and Trumpet
Move around freely on stage while getting a powerful, close-miked sound from your horn with the U7, a wireless microphone system from Xvive specifically designed for saxophone, trumpet, and trombone players. The system features a lightweight gooseneck microphone and transmitter with a special clip that attaches directly to the bell of your instrument and allows you to precisely position the mic for optimal sound quality. The receiver plugs directly into an XLR input on your mixer or PA, and will pick up audio from the transmitter from up to 90′ away. The system is suitable for tenor, soprano, baritone, and alto saxophones, along with trumpet, trombone, and other brass instruments. The package includes windscreens, a dual charging cable, and a zippered carry case.
Rich Digital Sound
- With a gooseneck electret condenser mic placed right at the source and 24-bit / 48 kHz digital conversion from the clip-on transmitter, you’ll get rich, detailed sound reproduction with a wide 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range.
- The mic can handle SPLs up to 142 dB and offers a dynamic range of 108 dB to ensure you get natural sounding audio without clipping or distortion.
- The supercardioid polar pattern focuses audio capture tightly on the horn for less bleed from other instruments and less feedback from stage monitors.
- And with an ultralow latency of only 5 ms, you’ll be able to stay comfortably in the pocket while performing.
- Two foam windscreens to protect the mic from dust and moisture along with a furry windshield for outdoor use are provided.
Quick and Easy to Use
- The U7 wireless system operates in the 2.4 GHz range, so you can use it anywhere in the world.
- Six preset channel frequencies are available to ensure you always have options if you encounter interference.
- Simply set the transmitter and receiver to the same channel and you’re good to go.
- Built-in rechargeable batteries on the transmitter and receiver provide up to 5 hours of operating time on a full charge.
- Charge the transmitter and receiver at the same time using the dual USB-C cable and any 5V, 2A USB power supply.
- Charging for two and a half hours gets you 5 hours of play time; 1.25 hours gets you 2 hours of play time, and 30 min of charging gets you 1 hour.
