6-stage Multi-source Function Generator and Sequencer Eurorack Module

Add modulation galore to your modular setup with the Behringer Steps, a multisource modulation and sequencer module for Eurorack. Based on Mutable Instruments Stages, STEPS is a six-stage function generator that can be configured in various ways to generate different types of modulation. Creating intricate LFO waveshapes, sequences, and envelopes or break it down into smaller segments to create seriously complex and repeatable modulations. STEPS ships with a ribbon power cable and screws.

Master the Elements of Sound
STEPS is capable of creating intricate LFO waveshapes, sequences, and envelopes to name a few. The 6-stage envelope broken down into smaller and smaller segments, and these can be as complex as you want them to be.
Single and Grouped Segment
  • Patching a signal into one of the gate inputs of STEPS groups any gate to the right of it into the envelope. For example, if you patch into the gate 3 input, then gates 4, 5 and 6 are included, creating a 4-stage envelope.
  • Patching into gate 6 will give you a single segment envelope or you can go crazy and patch into all 6 gates and output them to any module of your choice to create six single stage envelopes.
  • You can even chain 6 STEP modules together to get a whopping 36 segments to experiment with incredible and supercomplex envelopes.
Segment Types
Each segment of steps has three modes: Ramp, Hold, and Step, which determine how the output reaches the target voltage. These modes are controlled and modified via the segment’s corresponding potentiometer and slider.
Eurorack Ready
STEPS is designed to fit into a standard Eurorack case. Just connect the power cables to the power supply, and mount the module using the included screws. Mix STEPS with other modules in your setup and start creating unique sequences that add a whole new dimension to your sound.
