Designed for spaces with above-ceiling limitations and tighter clearances, the Bose Professional EdgeMax EM180-LP In-Ceiling Loudspeaker creates room-filling coverage patterns typical of larger surface-mount speakers with architect-preferred aesthetics well suited for retail stores, restaurants, bars, concourse, and transportation facilities as well as hospitality venues and resorts, houses of worship, and conference centers.

Designed to mount near wall/ceiling boundaries, the EdgeMax EM180-LP provides improved audio quality and coverage, while reducing the number of required units, compared to conventional dome-tweeter ceiling speakers.

PhaseGuide
Patented PhaseGuide technology directs sound asymmetrically into the room, creating coverage found in no other loudspeaker. The 180° horizontal coverage is ideal for wide coverage, while the EM90-LP offers 90° coverage for corner placement. With both speakers, you have both near-field and wide coverage, resulting in remarkable performance, directionality, and voice intelligibility.
Flexible, Room-Filling Coverage
EdgeMax loudspeakers can be installed at the room’s perimeter while still projecting sound inward for room-filling coverage. This means fewer units required compared to typical loudspeakers. And when installed near a wall, boundary-loading delivers impressive bass impact.
EdgeMax LP
The EdgeMax LP models feature a shallow 4″ backcan and wider 80° vertical coverage angle for spaces with above-ceiling limitations and tighter clearances. All EdgeMax models offer the same remarkable speaker quality and signature sound allowing integrators to mix-and-match different speakers for challenging installations with varying dimensions and obstructions.
