Flexible routing options
Both MTX models feature eight channels of mic/line input and eight channels of analog output, plus 16 channels of YDIF digital I/O and an SD card slot for playback of MP3/WAV files. The MTX5-D adds even more, with 16 channels of Dante digital I/O and a Mini-YGDAI card slot which allows you to install even more analog or digital I/O (card sold separately). Two RCA stereo line inputs, a 9-pin RS232 remote port, and included Euroblock plugs sweeten the deal. Oh, and you can daisy-chain up to four MTX devices together! This incredible flexibility is sure to meet the commercial audio needs of any small to mid-sized business such as restaurants, retail stores, banquet halls, and more.
Useful DSP Functions
MTX units both have handy DSP functions for both input and output. On the input side, you’ll find 3-band parametric EQ, compressor/gate, auto gain control, priority duckers, and feedback suppressors. For output processing, you’ll have 4-band parametric EQ, speaker processing, and delay. This functionality allows you to tweak your business’s audio without the need for additional effects processors. There’s even a library of Yamaha-manufactured speakers built-in to the MTX-MRX software, allowing easy selection of settings that optimize the performance of your business’s speakers.
Easy to configure, control, and expand
The included MTX-MRX software makes it effortless to setup your MTX unit. Its operating screens simulate the workflow of designing your system, so you won’t get lost at any stage of navigation. Your MTX is also easy to control by connecting a DCP series wall-mounted control panel, going remote with a dedicated iPhone app, or using the supplied connectors for control via an AMX/Crestron touch panel device. And, if one MTX unit just isn’t enough, you can easily daisy chain up to four MTX units together
