The Zoom LiveTrak L6max packs the power of a full-size mixer and multitrack recorder into a compact, battery-powered design. Whether you’re a solo performer, an acoustic duo, or a full band, the L6max is ready to be the centerpiece of your live show, rehearsal, or podcast. With 4 combo inputs (including 2 with Hi-Z), 8 line inputs, and 12 total channels, it provides the flexibility you need for any session.
Monitoring, Mixing, and High-Output Control
Stay in control onstage or in the studio with two headphone outputs and a customizable Sub-Out mix. Channels 5 to 8 feature a -20 dB Pad switch, making it easy to tame loud signals from vintage synths or Eurorack modules without external attenuators. A high-contrast OLED display keeps navigation clear and simple while you build your mix.
Multitrack Recording Without Limits
Record up to 14 tracks—12 individual channels plus a stereo mix—directly to SD cards up to 2TB. Save and recall projects anytime, or take advantage of unlimited overdubbing by bouncing tracks to the dedicated bounce channel. If a bounce doesn’t hit the mark, simply undo it and try again. Every take is preserved as an individual file for future mixing.
Intelligent Audio Technology
The L6max combines smart processing with pristine recording. AI Noise Reduction intelligently removes hum, hiss, and background distractions while keeping voices and instruments detailed. For loud performances, it records clip-free 32-bit float audio, with dual-AD converters on channels 1-4 to capture everything from subtle vocals to explosive drum hits without distortion.
Creative Sound Shaping
Dial in your tone with a 3-band EQ on every channel and add depth with onboard Reverb, Delay, and Echo, complete with TAP tempo. The master track compressor adds punch and saturation to your mix. And with 32-bit float, your audio stays clear and unclipped, even at high levels.
More Than a Mixer
The L6max doubles as a 12-in / 4-out USB audio interface for computer, iOS, or Android, and can record simultaneously to SD. It also functions as a DAW control surface, bridging live performance and production workflows.
Pro-Level Tools Built In
With two Aux Sends (pre-/post-fader), you can set up monitor mixes or FX loops. Save and recall up to four mixes with Scene Memory. Trigger samples, jingles, or sound effects with Sound Pads, which can also sync to MIDI clock for electronic performances. And with MIDI I/O and USB MIDI, you can connect synths, grooveboxes, or integrate with MIDI apps.
Flexible Customization and Power
The free L6 Editor app (Mac/Windows) lets you configure pads, effects, and MIDI assignments. For power, the L6max runs on AA batteries, USB bus power, or a mobile battery pack, so it’s equally ready for the studio or the road. With optional ERL-6 rack ears and power supply, it can also mount seamlessly into a standard Eurorack case for modular setups.
