At the heart of the KSM44MP is a precision-engineered 1″ dual-diaphragm capsule using gold-layered diaphragms. This architecture enables selectable polar patterns—cardioid, omnidirectional, and bidirectional—while stabilizing sensitivity and polar pattern consistency. The result is improved off-axis control, particularly at low frequencies, and cleaner results in multi-microphone and stereo recording setups. A 15 dB pad is available for recording louder sources.

The KSM44MP delivers a flat, accurate response with a subtle high-frequency lift that enhances detail while remaining smooth and natural. This balanced voicing makes it ideal for modern production styles, capturing airy vocal textures, delicate overtones, and nuanced instrumentation without harshness.
